Math-Power Curriculum

The curriculum is divided into steps, each containing 10 to 25 packets.

Each packet contains a short review of previously learned material as well as the new material to be learned.

Each packet is designed to require no more than 20 minutes to complete.

Each packet is completed without a computer or calculator.

Carefully prepared instruction sheets accompany each new math concept.

Answer keys are provided for ease of correction.

Adult monitors, eg., parents, grandparents or guardians, are not expected to teach. The role of the monitor is as coach and cheerleader.

Math-Power provides any needed repetition through three versions of each packet. Consequently, students practice without feeling they are doing the 'same old stuff'.

Currently developed Math-Power Steps contain over 5000 pages covering counting, addition, advanced addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, order of operations, decimals, percents, and proportions. Math Power Steps currently in development cover basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and advanced algebra. Subsequent Steps will continue the math subject coverage through Calculus, Probability, and Statistics.
