Math-Power Instructor Requirements

Math-Power is looking for Instructors who have:
      1. the desire to enhance student's math skills,
      2. the understanding of the math subjects involved, and
      3. the ability to communicate effectively with students

To be approved as a Math-Power Center Owner and instructor within the US, you must complete the following requirements:

1. Submit an application for training. This application includes:

- payment of the $200.00 training fees.

- a resume of your education and work experience, emphasizing your math and communiations skills. A math degree or teacher certification is appreciated, but is NOT required.

- a completed math test (provided in the application packet). Samples are provided in the application packet. Two test options are provided:

- Basic Math - through fractions, decimals, and percents. This test is required for the limited Math-Power license. (See 'MP Licensing')

- Basic Algebra - essentially through Algebra I. This test is required for the full Math-Power license.

2, Successful completion of the 3 day training session at the Math-Power Headquarters in Asheville, NC. This session will include a second math test.

3. Successful completion of a criminal background check.

4. Visa or Master Card account for Center related charges. You must have one of these accounts to order Math-Power packets and other items from our office. The cost of the license fee may be paid for by check or charged to that account.
